This proved to be a wondrous decision. The best way to get a feel for a country never visited before. We flew into Tokyo the day before the tour started and left as soon as it finished. It was a whirlwind introduction to Japanese culture and geography, our appetite for all things Japanese being completely sated by the end.<\/p><p>Our guides were excellent. Our superb tour leader was Takashi Niwa (of <a href=\"http:\/\/ncycling01.sblo.jp\/article\/42313367.html#selfguide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"demo\">Niwa Cycling Tours,<\/span><\/a> Japan) a respected cycling expert, TV presenter, and author of Tokyo&#8217;s first bicycle guidebook. His friend <a href=\"https:\/\/ebiketours-japan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"demo\">Kiyoshi Miyazawa<\/span><\/a> managed the logistics, found us the best restaurants, and showed us the hidden corners of Japanese life. Either of these gentlemen could help produce a tailor-made tour for you.
