There were a few patches of the Devon and Cornwall coast that I thought needed more attention. We had, for example, gone straight from Plymouth to Paignton rather than around the coast, as that would have added days to the Plymouth to Dover trip. And Mark was organising another loop from Polruan, catchingly called KC2C2DC2C2026 or something like that (Kernow Coast to Coast to Devon Coast to Coast 2026) which would give me a chance to pedal out to Harland Point which I had missed out. I was not feeling to chipper after the first four days of hills took their toll, so I ended up doing as little of Mark’s loop as possible…
The Road to Dartmouth
My head is full of the Tempest Branagh’s Prospero simply the best The staging was magic The music fantastic But half of the script had gone west
It’s quite a short route today I’d allowed for the train delay And not many thrills On these steep Devon hills Descending on gravelly clay
